What WE DO

We offer free and subsidised cooking classes to people from Knowle West and surrounding South Bristol, who might be experiencing barriers, deprivation and marginalisation. Our aim is to teach people how to cook healthy food from scratch to improve their health, reduce hunger and bring joy and confidence to our community.

Cooking in Schools

Cooking in Primary Schools

A comprehensive programme of food and cookery activities for primary schools to help get cooking in the classroom and make good food a way of life for the whole school community

The Primary Schools Cookery Project is supported by OVO Foundation

Recipe Kits

Every week we prepare 200 recipe kits which are delivered to local schools and Food Clubs. Each recipe kit contains fresh ingredients to cook a healthy meal from scratch, with enough food for a family of four. The kits are a great way to get the whole family cooking and eating together. We also include hints for making food go further such as using leftovers and batch cooking, and tips for saving energy too.

If you would like to support our work providing recipe kits to families facing food insecurity please visit our fundraising page HERE. A monthly donation of £12 could provide a meal kit to a family every month.

Our other work

Please explore our other work through the links below. All profits from these activities help us to keep the courses above free and subsidised for our students to attend. This removes all barriers of cost and makes it as accessible as possible meaning that we can reach the most disadvantaged and marginalised people in our community.
